Abstract

The potato is a crop of great importance in the peasant economy of the producing areas of the Trujillo state, mainly in the Urdaneta, Boconó, Carache and Trujillo municipalities, which cover a production area of ​​5,000 hectares, most of the producers use seed of unknown health for the production of potato consumption and a low percentage of formal seed of imported and national origin.
