Abstract
Hog Plum of the species Spondias mombin L. are fruits with a yellow shell, a large and strong seed, and yellow pulp that varies in thickness. Its mesocarp is fleshy, edible and very aromatic. It is a fruit originally from America, which was brought from tropical countries to the Old World.
