Vermiculture, a source of organic fertilizer, as an alternative for the production of vegetables and nursery plants in rural communities
Abstract
Vermiculture is a technique that consists of breeding different species of worms in closed systems, transforming waste of plant and/or animal origin for the production of vermicompost (incorrectly called worm humus), and a by-product consisting of the water that drains from the beds ("liquid humus"), after watering them.
